"Paddle" For A Cause 2007!

"Paddle" For A Cause is a fun-filled, surfing charity event to benefit the March of Dimes.

Sit down, stand up, kayak paddle, hand paddle! Surfers with all types of surf craft are welcome! New for 2006 is a stand-up and paddle division! We may need to lend out our paddles to those who attempt to stand on their boards and paddle to catch the wave! Should be exciting!

                                                                                                                New Location: Little Island Pier, Sandbridge Beach    (Mapquest)

                                                                                                                Date/Time: Saturday, October 6, 2007 7:30am

                                                                                                                Make-up date/time:  Saturday, October 13th

                                                                                                                Entry fee: $20 (recommended entry fee is $25)

                                                                                                                Additional divisions: No Charge. (recommended $5)

Event day entry fee: $23.00 (recommended $35.00)

                                                                                                                ***  This is a charity event. Competitors are encouraged to seek donations from family, friends, businesses. ***

This year's paddle surfing heats will include the following divisions:

                                                                                                                Waveski - foam/hollow core, seat belt/foot strapped surf craft w/ fins

Surf (specific) Kayak - finned/finless, IC or HP, poly/composite

                                                                                                                Open - any surf boat in your quiver

                                                                                                                SOT - any plastic sit-on-top kayak, finned/finless

Not a paddle surfer yet? That's ok! Come find out about paddle surfing and cure your interest about the paddle surfing community.

 Just beginning as a paddle surfer? That's great! Come eager to learn from the VBSK crew. Leave with new moves and a big smile!
